After I use the ceramic flat iron my hair looks frizzy. Help??

I let my hair air dry than I spray the Chi Iron Guard, section and flat iron. It probably doesn't help that I live in south florida and its extremely humid right now. My straight hair last 5 min then it starts to frizz out and its ugly. Any tips? After I use the ceramic flat iron my hair looks frizzy. Help??
You have 3 problems here. One your hair is frizzy naturally but also it sounds like you are flat ironing your hair slightly wet and one more is you are burning your hair. I am a professional and what it sounds to me is your hair is burning.

If you use any iron on wet hair it can smoke and burn but also if you use it to long in the hair or to hot it will burn. Use professional products for frizzy and to help it hold before you dry your hair. Then when you use your iron try to find a way to see how hot it is. Meaning with a reg iron you put your finger in the middle of the iron where the hair is thickest and when it gets to hot for your finger it means your hair will start to burn. Burning will always frizz your hair. You then will need a reconstructor treatment to help your hair with the damage you have done. There is no way to fix burned hair but you can make it look better as it grows out. First I would do a gentle deep cleansing by mixing professional shampoo, baking soda and water. Should be like a cake mix batter and run through your hair. But a bag over and use a hair blower to heat your head. Then cover with a towel and let it cool. Do not rinse your hair if it is hot it can make hair break off. You will follow this same procedure for the deep conditioning treatment. A treatment is different then just a good conditioner. It is for repairs not just moisture. I hope this helps, there are great professional products out there for fizzy hair.

Oh one more thing, you can put a defuser on your hair blower that will also help with frizzy hair. And blow dry a warm to cool not hot. After I use the ceramic flat iron my hair looks frizzy. Help??
IF IT IS FRIZZY AFTER YOU STRAIGHTEN THEN YOU MUST BLOCK THE HUMIDITY, UNFORTUNATELY THE ONLY WAY TO DO THIS IS .... MORE PRODUCT.... TRY THE SERUM BEFORE YOU STRAIGHTEN AND SOME KIND OF SPRAY AS SOON AS YOU DO A FEW STRANDS.. THAT SHOULD DO IT..
Use a frizz-ease product, like John Frieda Frizz-Ease. A shine spray would be another possibility - it helps tame frizz %26amp; flyaways.
when you use a flat iorn you have to use some typ of surum for your hair you run it thruogh your hair when its damp then blow dry then flat iorn anything anti-frizz since you say that is your prob they have a large selection at any drug store
Use a heat tamer, treseeme has some. Then after you straightened your hair, apply a frizz ease treseemme secret weapon works for me.
when i was in south florida (on holiday, you are so lucky to live there and not in rainy london, uk!) i gave up on straight hair for the daytime and just put a dab of coconut oil in my hair. this, plus the humidity, produced really nice defined curls.

i think air drying is good but you probably still need to blowdry when its 95% dry to take control of it, but just make the room as cool as possible while you do. the texture of my hair wouldn't allow me to straighten it with irons immediately so that could be the problem. unless you have those wet2straight irons?

the big epiphany for me in achieving straght hair was understanding the fact that it was my hair's texture that needed to change, not the fact that it was naturally wavy. if it feels clean and silky it will stay straight. if it feels thick and/or moist, but looks straight, it won't. blowdrying with the right products can dramatically alter the texture of your hair - paul mitchell seal and shine is good, and try phytologie, bumble and bumble or frederic fekkai products.
yea use tresemme heat tamer i use it and i loe it but it doent make my hair to shiny and i havr flyaway too and i want ot ge the anti smooth from tresemme too
what you might want to do is go to a salon and get your tips trimed. make sure that when you flat iron your hair, make sure you iron small amounts of hair at a time. also make sure that you use something good to protect your hair from the heat. i live in florida and know what you're going through cause i've gone through it. try using frizz eaze.
when u ur hair ,u should use olive oil spray because i have hair like that and it works then, u braid it or roll it in a bun and cover it with cloth and go to sleep with it, in the morning u will have great straight hair

use the spray after u straighten ur hair
Try to find a product to use pre-flat ironing that will protect your hair against the heat. Then, make sure your flat iron has ';ions'; in it, which help seal broken/split ends, and result in more flat, shiny, and smooth hair. There are also many products you can use after you straighten your hair, such as Bed Head products, which work very well.
Paul Mitchell Gloss Drops. Great product!
