When you use a flat iron, it will stay straight until you get it wet, that's just the way it works. So you have to straighten it every day after you shower. You're not doing anything wrong, that's how they're supposed to work, event he most proffesional kind.
There are ways to get it chemically straightened, and that way it will stay straight even after it gets wet. But that's really expensive and it will look weird after your hair grows out a bit, then it will be curly at the top and straight.How to use a ceramic flat iron?
every straightener you use will make your hair curly again after showering, the only way to keep it straight all the time is to get your hair chemically straightened at a salon. i dont reccomend it though, it really dries out your hair.

make sure you hair is dry when you straighten your hair
simply open up the flat iron and take a section of hair then press the flat iron together and move it out then your section of hair will be straight . keep doing it and remember to use a heat protectant spray (tressemme)

yea thats normal, straightening you hair wont last forever, and water deactivates the straightness of the hair....and not showering is not an option...sounds stupid, i know, but i know it went through your mind :]
