Are the expensive, ceramic flat irons worth it?

I was thinking of purchasing one of the more expensive, ceramic flat irons from a local salon, because when they styled my hair the other day, the flat iron worked wonders! However, it costs about $120.00. The flat iron I own now isn't the greatest. I think I bought it for $30.00 and it isn't ceramic. For those of you who own these more expensive flat irons, are they worth the investment? Or should those of us stick with the $30.00 irons from Wal-Mart?Are the expensive, ceramic flat irons worth it?
It really depends. If you have relatively straight, manageable hair, I wouldn't pay $120 for a flat iron. I have wavy, thick hair %26amp; a Chi and it works great for me, but I think that if you dont 'reallly' need it, I wouldn't get it.Are the expensive, ceramic flat irons worth it?
they are completely worth the investment and will make your friends envious :)
I do know that ceramic hair straighteners generally work better and don't damage your hair as much as normal straighteners. The price isn't really what tells you if it's good or not, it's the brand and type of iron. I've heard that Chii makes wonderful hair irons.
I think they are....I got a Solia for $88 on Folica.com two summers ago. The more expensive ones (especially the ones with tourmaline plates) don't damage your hair as much. I don't have any split ends. My twin sis uses one of those $30 ones, and it damages her hair. Honestly, try saving your cash and getting a Solia. The results are impressive and you can straighen more often without worrying about destroying your hair.
