How 2 clean ceramic flat irons?

Ok i have these really great flat irons i luv them so much and cant bear the thought of having to by another pair because these cost just too much but i got spritz on them and it turned my flat irons that brownish red color when you get hair product on them i want to know a safe way to get it of with out messing up my flat irons (Please have some knowledge of black hair products that would be super helpful)How 2 clean ceramic flat irons?
Get a mild or regular relaxer. Put it on the flat iron while it is still off. Turn it on and wait 5- 15 minutes. Depending on how much build up you have on it. turn it off and wait until it cools a little. With a wet cloth wipe away all of the relaxer. Flip over the flat iron and repeat. i do this with all of my ceramic curling irons. It really works.How 2 clean ceramic flat irons?
yes the relaxer trick works but i never leave it on that long. i turn the flat iron on and heat it up then turn it off while it is still warm i put the relaxer on the iron wait about two mins and wipe clean then wipe again with a clean rag to make sure all the relaxer is removed for the next time i need to use them. i learned that trick from my old licensed hair dresser
rubbing alcohol.
First let me say, Im a woman(haven't figured out how to change the avatar). Ok now get a wash cloth or hand towel, and some H2O. Thats all i use. It'll help if its a little warmed up. But I wouldn't use alcohol.
