I use a Criket flat-iron and I do not put product on before using but i have noticed residue. How do i clean that off without ruining it?How do I clean a ceramic flat iron without damaging it?
1. If there is residue, you're using too hot of a straightener. It's on too high of a setting for your hair type.
2. To clean it, while it is NOT plugged in, take a wash cloth and some soap and gently wipe. Take another cloth to get rid of the soap and then dry it.
It will come off!!

I just did mines..it look horrible i was going to just buy a new...Then I remember what this stylist told me. and plus i seen it work on a curling iron.I was really scared at first.
To hot of setting and I use john frieda hair straighteners..so it fries alil..ooops... anywho.
I rubbed hair(straightening perm) on my ceramic iron..I left on for a hour and noticed the perm changed color..it took everything right off. I was so happy.
So I first use napkins, then damp towel..and then went over it with some alcohol...and good as new.
Try this cleaning cloth. You have to buy in packages of 5 but they are only like $3 bucks a piece. I have ordered them and use them on everything, especially cleaning windows and clean mirrors. They are made out of tiny fibers. They are guaranteed not to scratch and all you do is rinse the cloth under water, wring it out and wipe ANY surface with no streaks or scratch. Use em over and over. I have not thrown one away yet!
I am sold on this ...I encourage you to try it out.
First ,rinse hair
second, put raw eggs%26amp;mayo in the hair.
third,swish it around.
fourth,style it.
GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN WITH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
